The food was absolutely delicious – every bite was a delight! The service was phenomenal from start to finish, and the staff and owners were genuinely warm, kind, and welcoming. I loved every moment of the experience. I’ve never bothered to leave a Google review before (despite eating out a lot!), but this place was so outstanding that I had to make an exception. Can’t recommend it highly enough – I’ll definitely be back!

I spent two nights in Frascati and exactly two dinners here. I love this place. Great food, amazing people, very chill vibe on the stairs. I will definitely come back when I visit Frascati again.

My host family is a habitual client here and they recommended me this place. One Sunday lunch, I tried it out and the result was beyond my expectation. The dishes are exquisite, the service is friendly and fun (the server made us laugh a lot!) then the price is more than reasonable for such an elaborated and refined cuisine. It’s better to come to Frascati for a lunch or a dinner than other touristic overpriced places in Rome. Highly recommend to make a reservation, because the place is small and if it rains, the terrace seats outside on the stairs won’t be available… So if it’s a sunny day or evening without rain, you may be able to try it out spontaneously.

We loved everything about this restaurant so much we came back the next night again for dinner. The atmosphere is charming, the staff were very friendly, and the food was amazing! We chose recommendations from the staff and it was perfect! We will definitely come back our next trip in 2025, and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience in Frascati!

Taste was amazing for the pasta and ravioli. We tried the famous white wine and it was delicious. But most importantly try the perfect tiramisu. Best thing of the night was Lorenzo who was our host. He was very funny, friendly and helpful. Thank you for the translations and suggestions mio amico.

Naturally, it took place in Rome, or more precisely, in the nearby charming city of Frascati. No need to specify, but yes, the wine was Frascati DOC, and in its beautiful imperfection, it matched the food in a way that can only be described as cosmic. It was the most affordable bottle on the wine list, costing less than an average cocktail in downtown Boston, yet delivering far more value for the money. The experience began with an entrée that was anything but tailored for the casual tourist. This was a feast crafted for the true Italian hedonist. Most people will never reach this level of culinary delight; if they did, their national cuisine would already be renowned worldwide. Forget your five-star restaurants - none of that pretentiousness will take you on a sensory and lustful journey like this. Come to Frascati, specifically to Trattoria Pinseria La Bottega Frascatana, if you want to experience what a Roman centurion might have felt returning home from battle. The Pinsa Romana is not just a missed pizza; it's the very essence of it, stripped down to its purest form without unnecessary embellishments. The cold platter provides all the toppings you need to create your own bite-sized tastings, while the ceci in truffle sauce offer a flavor that's both extraordinary and yet so comfortingly familiar. Traditional Roman dishes like saltimbocca and involtini are incredibly humble yet divine in their simplicity. The baccalà topped with sweet onions disappears from your plate before your brain can fully register the experience. But more than the food, what truly sets this evening apart - something shared across the eternal city - is the warmth, simplicity, and genuine empathy from everyone you encounter, from the chef, host, waiter to the neighbors and street artists. Incredibly accommodating, especially after we were 14 instead of 8-10. Lorenz explained everything with great patience and both English and Italian. The quality of the food and wine were incredible. Consider ordering "the Italian way" with lots of starters to share and a nice main course. You'll wonder how you can even fit the main, or dessert but you will.
